climate

Vines thrive in temperate climates with plenty of sunshine and sufficient rainfall.
The Alpine-Mediterranean climate of South Tyrol with about 2,000 hours of sunshine, offers ideal conditions.

The most precious natural gift of our territory is the remarkable temperature range:

High daytime temperatures, together with the warm Ora wind blowing from south to north, allow the necessary sugars to accumulate inside the grape.

Cool nights, due to the winds blowing down the Mendola Massif, regulate the grape acidity, preventing early ripening and preserving the acids and aromatic components.

These winds have a dual function: They both dry the grapes quickly after it rains, protecting against fungal infestation and they allow the grapes to cool down at night.
