Serving a wine perfectly
brings out its depth, harmony and distinctive properties.
It is therefore fundamental to serve wine at the
right temperature! The “room temperature” cannot provide
anything like the correct environment, due to the significant temperature
variation over the year.
Our wines should be served at the following temperatures to achieve
the fullest appreciation:
16 – 18° C: full-bodied red wines such
as Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Merlot and Lagrein of the Sanct Valentin
Line;
13 – 15° C: lighter red wines such as Schiava, St. Magdalener
and Kalterer, as well as most of the Classic Line and Cru Selections
Line wines;
10 – 12° C: full-bodied white wines such as Chardonnay,
Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon of the
Sanct Valentin Line;
8 – 10° C: the Passito Sanct Valentin Comtess, lighter
white wines, as well as our Schulthauser Pinot Blanc and most of
the Classic Line and Cru Selections Line wines;
6 - 8° C: South Tyrolean sparkling wine.
The temperature of the wine in the glass increases rapidly. We therefore
recommend that you serve it one or two degrees cooler!
